Grad Thesis SLAM!, a competition sponsored by UVA’s PhD Plus program, is an opportunity for doctoral candidates to effectively explain their research in three minutes in language appropriate for a non-specialist audience. Three graduate students represented UVA Engineering in this year’s final competition: Jad Atweh (systems and information engineering), Muhammed Ceylan Morgul (electrical and computer engineering) and Shyam Sundar Santhanam (mechanical and aerospace engineering).
